Having visited Skansen more than 30 years ago I was very excited to return again. The setting was just as I remembered but we were very surprised and disappointed that this open-air attraction was the most-closed place we have come across in Stockholm. None of the buildings are open yet there doesn’t appear to be any prior warnings of this. Skansen is the world's first open-air museum, founded in 1891.
